This is an oil pastel study of fruit
you can get great textures by scoring
into the actual oil pastel.

This is one of my recent doodles.  From this angle it is entitled 'Woman washing clothes in river' but if you rotate it anti clockwise it becomes 'Sitting woman at work' and rotate again and it becomes 'Woman with parasol and recliner' .

Well started to do the challenge .............

1.   Study of seaweed I think the video of the beach inspired me to put pastels to paper................... 

Today has been simply raining all day and whenever this happens I like to run through some of my short beach videos to lift the mood................... this one certainly helped today.   This is of Porthleven in Cornwall.                                            

Taking the challenge

I am needing motivation to produce more work so I am taking the challenge to produce a piece of work everyday for 1 month.  As I am an eclectic artist this can be anything  SO WATCH THIS SPACE  I need your support to keep going .............................so keep those comments coming.

         This is the new transport across the Thames and now open in time for the Olympics.  Cannot wait to use this when I am next in London.

No Where Island is coming to Plymouth.  This floating island has been travelling the coast line of the UK and is an art project that has gained momentum with the run up to the Olympics just like the Olympic Torch

Back on Line

At last back on line again..... and all seems to be working well at the moment.  Currently on half term from supply teaching and enjoying the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations which was just fantastic.  Having read the book  The War Horse but not seen the stage show it was fabulous to see the animated war horse Joey make an appearance outside the National Youth Theatre.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75blE32JgoU Just spectacular.  If you have not read the book or seen the stage show.... then do so.... one not to be missed.

ICE CROP CIRCLES.
These are just amazing.  I have done some in frost before but on
this scale is something else, the artist creates the patterns by walking
in brick shaped ski boots.

HALF TERM

Half Term week and time for a long over due catch up with blogging.  I am amazed to see that the total is now up to over 4,700 wow who is looking at my blog.

Today I want to tell you about Guerilla Knitting and Yarn Bombing.  It was originally something that started off as an offbeat art form similar to graffiti artists, anonymous, but has now gained popularity and cities are seeing installation artists copying the art of knitting guerilla style and its world wide.

TIME TO START SELLING MY WORK

With the recession and the replacement of qualified Supply Teachers with non teaching support staff to cover for absent teachers, often much longer than the Government guidelines recommend, I find my expertise as a Teacher  is being requested less and less.  SO ITS TIME TO START SELLING MY WORK.

I just love these mini sculptures by Variations on Design.   The watch sculptures will be exhibited at Dezeen Space 54 Rivington Street, London EC2A (Shoreditch)    from 17 September to 16 October.
