This series of 3 doodles again stared with a
wavy line and developed into 3 different
views of it.
1.  This one is 'Lady with parasol and recliner'

Rotate 90 degrees clockwise and you get view 2

2.  This one is 'Sitting lady at work'

Rotate another 90 degrees clockwise and you get
view 3.....

'Lady washing clothes in the river'

Catching up with sharing my doodles
which I should have been putting on the
blog for my one a day challenge started
some time ago... but computers being
computers..... when up dating the
printer scanner it completely disconnected
itself only to find it took endless phone
calls to correct the installation which should
have been ..... so easy peasy..... watch this
space I am now on a roll...............
Just love the quirky door handle this one is
a definite 'thumbs up'.

Another Doodle....
Started with 4 simple lines

A little late to post for Halloween but
this decorated Pumpkin is a brilliant
idea for when the event is over.
I must remember to do this next year.

This is a quick minimal line sketch of the J Class 140ft yachts
that were racing in Falmouth this summer.  Amazing sight with about 30 racing crew.
This is another of my doodle pictures inspired by the weather, beach and the tide.

Having to catch up as my scanner is not working to get some of the work onto my blog.  I have had to revert to photographing it and then putting it into a folder and uploading that way. So catch up time if I can.  I have been working with copper wires for many years but decided to go back to gypsy knitting using silver wire. This is purely experimental and even included a section of beads which had already been threaded onto the wire.
Unfortunately I find the fine silver wire tarnishes and would need dipping in silver cleaner to keep it pristine but experimental work is always exciting and often leads you onto other things even though silver wire can be quite brittle if handled well you can create a good length to work with.

This is a piece of silk painting that I started several years ago and thought I should try and complete it. I have cropped it when scanning to get different interpretations of the work.

Although I say its silk painting I actually used polyester fabric, silk paints and fabric pens.

Challenge 3
This is an oil pastel study of fruit
you can get great textures by scoring
into the actual oil pastel.
This is one of my recent doodles.  From this angle it is entitled 'Woman washing clothes in river' but if you rotate it anti clockwise it becomes 'Sitting woman at work' and rotate again and it becomes 'Woman with parasol and recliner' .

Well started to do the challenge .............

1.   Study of seaweed I think the video of the beach inspired me to put pastels to paper...................
Today has been simply raining all day and whenever this happens I like to run through some of my short beach videos to lift the mood................... this one certainly helped today.   This is of Porthleven in Cornwall.

Nowhereisland coming to Plymouth

No Where Island is coming to Plymouth.  This floating island has been travelling the coast line of the UK and is an art project that has gained momentum with the run up to the Olympics just like the Olympic Torch
Check it out ... make a date to come to Plymouth and why not sign up to be one of the Islands Citizens and contribute to the Constitution.     http://nowhereisland.org/   also look at http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/10/24/climate-craziness-of-the-week-1/  Image is nothing spectacular but its what it stands for and how it has engaged with us all that is why it is gaining interest.
